The Bird 4410A is a professional quality RF Thruline Watt Meter. The 4410A is especially useful when you need to make a series of RF Power Measurements all at DIFFERENT Power Levels, without the requirement of changing Elements as with the Bird 43! The 4410A has SEVEN Separate Power Ranges, all available via a single Seven WAY RF Power Range Selector Switch. Please note that the 4410A uses special Dedicated Elements (Bird 43 will not work!). Each 4410A Element has
a FACTOR number printed on the lid, this factor number is used to multiply the number selected on the “Seven Way Switch”. An example is given below.
EXAMPLE: BIRD 4410-7 Element 144 - 520MHz Factor = 10
This is a popular element as it covers a wide frequency range of 144 to 520MHz, i.e. HAM, VHF, UHF PMR, MARINE, VHF, UHF, RAILWAY, etc.
Power Range Selector Switch Positions;
1 = 0.1, 2 = 0.3, 3 = 1, 4 = 3, 5 = 10, 6 = 30, 7 = 100. This gives you the following power ranges using the 4410-7
